“Freaking awesome!”
That’s all I can sum up of what I experienced yesterday night.
9 years. My dream came true at last. It all worth the time and the pain of waiting.
Enough said.
.
We reached there around 8pm, loads of people or shall I say fans already in the stadium. We walked excitedly to our seats, but halfway saw some booths selling merchandise but mostly everything was sold out.
Found our seats. It has a nice view of the stage albeit a bit far.
15 minutes later, Mercury Rev showed up. They are the support act of the night. Dished out few songs which we have no idea what the lead singer was singing.
9pm. Lights back on again. The crews were finalizing the setups.
Inside the stadium. (Sorry for crappy photos. :/)
The obligatory "I was there" pose
9.30pm. Lights off and the crowds went crazy. Coldplay came out carrying sparkles. Life in Technicolor i was played. And all of us went nuts. LOL!
I really enjoyed myself out there.. dancing, jumping, clapping, yelling and singing most of the time.
The amount of effort Coldplay put in was tremendous… and the crowds really really enjoying themselves out there.
Chris especially was literally drowned out by our voices, we almost had a hand in every single song they played, notable mentions were songs like Yellow, Fix You, Viva la Vida and many more.
There were parts where Chris and sometimes Jonny performed near the runway, giving fans a closer look at them. And also when they performed techno versions of God Put A Smile Upon Your Face/Talk. CY commented that version sounded like ghost… lol
They even got closer to the fans when they belted out 3 songs in the crowd at the corner of the stadium. Will even sang out Death Will Never Conquer.
Viva… and that’s when they performed the final two songs; The Scientist and Life in Technicolor ii.
Sad to say, the concert ended shortly before 11pm and we all left feeling ecstatic and euphoric.
Viva la Coldplay. Til we meet again… soon! Thanks cousin sis for the pics!
