We had a small but meaningful birthday dinner with JZ this year. Again, we drove for over 50km just to meet him, like what we did last year too. The only difference this time, we only have 5 people celebrating instead of 6 last time. How things change.

We took off around 4-ish in the evening while the sun was still unbearably hot and reached there about an hour later. We hang around waiting for the weather to cool down a bit before heading off to the beach for a leisurely stroll + sunset photography + dinner.

The sun was setting down nicely when we arrived, we just parked our cars by the road, walked across and stood there while watching the waves crashed violently to a sea of rocks. Nice.

BL Sunset

Not exactly the “golden hour” of the sunset, I told the other photography enthusiast to wait a lil longer based on my little observation and “experience” of shooting sunset. LOL!

So, we headed off to SGC for dinner by the beach. And while still deciding what to eat, that “golden hour” appeared…

SGC Sunset

Whoa!

Simply breathtaking!

SGC Sunset

Look at the rays! All my problems gone by just looking at it…

Perhaps I should bring my tripod along to try something different but anyways…

We ordered our food and while waiting, we let the birthday boy blew the candles.

Dinner at SGC

A wish too many.. greedy fella took so long to make his wish(es)…

Dinner at SGC

Group photo is a must!

It was kinda funny because the whole process of getting the candles ready to taking group photos to cutting cakes was done in a jiffy. Like we were in a hurry to catch a plane… :)

Some random photos of food that we ordered..

Dinner at SGC

Burnt chicken satay.. but nice!!

Dinner at SGC

BBQ Combo set which consists of ikan kembung, some squids, prawns, ulam and salad. Not that good but who cares when you can witness the best sunset from where you sit.. :) It’s a tad expensive though.. like the chicken satay which costs 80 cent per skew. But once a while consider okay la… not that we eat them everyday.. right?

The dinner ended extremely fast… as proof that we were super hungry.. lol..

We took a walk around SGC and found another restaurant.. perhaps we should try that next time.. hehe.. and went back to SP town for a drink before heading back.

In case you are wondering what the heck is SGC, it stands for Sepang Gold Coast. Now you know, heh!

Happy “advance” Birthday, JZ!
