While making our way back from Taman Negara, I actually drove to Bentong for its famous homemade ice-cream shop, Kow Po. I have heard of this for so long but never had chance to try it so when opportunity came knocking, there’s no second thought.
Now, the funny thing is, I was with my 4 other friends, none of them actually knew about this.
Driving in Bentong town is not that hard. Assisted by my trusty GPS-enabled phone and also the locality of the shop which is just beside the main road, we made it at first attempt. :/
We were there just in time at around 5pm as the shop normally closes at about 7pm. What took us by surprise were the patrons of multi-races. This is really a 1Malaysia shop!
Service was prompt too. Each of us ordered ais kacang with ice-cream. And it’s just too bad that they ran out of durian flavour – perennial favourite among the locals.
Just like what the rest have claimed so far, the ice cream is thick and rich in flavour, we eventually ordered more because one is never enough.
Even this guy gave two thumbs up.. erm.. more like peace sign to me.. LOL!!
