When in HK, we always emphasize on having breakfast. We are so spoilt with choices – dim sum, congee, noodles, etc but on this morning, we unanimously picked congee to start the day.

Mui Kei Congee 妹記生滾粥品, an established name proudly serving delicious congee to serve the folks in Mongkok was our choice that day. A brief 10 minutes walk away from our hotel, Mui Kee is located on the top floor of a Fa Yuen wet market where you can also find other variation of food stalls as well.

We started with a small serving of poached fish skin éšçš®. I was a bit skeptical looking at it but after eating it, I have to agree it was good! Never thought poached fish skin could be so crunchy.

We also ordered few types of congee – pork balls with preserved century eggs, lean pork with beef and also fish congee. We tried all of them and seriously, they were perfect.

Since we had plans to go to Sai Kung, we also decided to drop by Wong Tai Sin Temple.

Wong Tai Sin temple is popular with the locals as well as tourists from China. I actually related my experience before so I won’t elaborate further. The temple has gone through some refurbishments and I find it quite a nice place to practise photography.
