From Wong Tai Sin temple, we took MTR to Diamond Hill station, where we boarded KMB bus number 92 to Sai Kung 西貢. The excursion to Sai Kung turned out to be one of the highlights in our trip because we could see what locals usually do and we also get to eat at one of the famous seafood restaurants in Sai Kung.
Sai Kung is a very laid back seaside town. Everything seems to be moving at slower pace here. Maybe it was on a weekday, we did see quite a number of senior citizens happily strolling along the promenade. At one of the piers, there were several boatsmen trying to sell their daily catch.
We spent quite some time at the pier before stopping at Chuen Kee Seafood 全記海鮮菜館 for lunch. Chuen Kee is apparently popular with locals and it is one of the restaurants shortlisted in Michelin dining guide.
The ordering was simple as they have lunch sets for 4 pax. We just had to decide on the cooking methods for different types of seafood.
We took another leisurely stroll along the town after the heavy late lunch before taking bus back for yet another round of meal.
